Diên Hông since 01.01.2002 nationally recognized educational institution and offers in the area of political and general education special courses, seminars, lectures and information sessions on topics such as immigration, migration, integration, anti-racism or Vietnam. The objectives of education and training policy include all of the integration of immigrants, the reduction of racism and xenophobia, the joint meeting and learning from both German and non-German population and to promote knowledge about Vietnam and other countries.
The field of education and political training plans and organizes regular events to numerous intercultural education and encounter. The aim of these events is to present to other countries and their culture. Ideally, migrants and locals get to know through common activities facets of different cultures. The special information sessions to edit topics that are especially important for immigrants to know and value.
During the year 2012 in Rostock very wide range of multicultural events in Rostock participation of migrant associations, local councils, rather than social institutions and the Hanseatic city of Rostock.
For the 20th Anniversary of the arson attacks in Lichtenhagen leads the research group of committed organizations and associations under the motto "Lichtenhagen moves - Together for each other" through this series of events. Highlights include the commemorative events on 25 and 26 August and the opening ceremony of the Multicultural weeks.
